Privacy

Waystone is made by Athlonaut LLC. The short version: the app collects nothing about you, and your Macs talk only to each other.

The app

• Waystone connects your Macs directly over your local network, encrypted. Windows, input and clipboard contents go from one of your Macs to the other and nowhere else.
• There is no account, no cloud service, no relay server and no telemetry.
• Athlonaut never receives your windows, what you type, your clipboard or a list of your apps. There is nothing for us to sell or hand over.
• Pairing information and your settings are stored on your Macs, not with us.

Permissions

macOS asks you to allow Screen Recording and Accessibility on a Mac that shares its windows, and Local Network access on both Macs. Waystone uses them only to show a window on your other Mac and pass your clicks and typing back to it.

This website

• We count visits with Umami, which we host ourselves. It uses no cookies and does not identify you.
• If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, what you tell us about your Macs and your message. It is delivered to us by email through Plunk. We use it only to reply and to understand who wants Waystone, and never add you to a mailing list without asking.
• The site is hosted on Railway, which keeps standard server logs. Your IP address is used briefly to limit how often the form can be sent.
